Hi,

We recently updated to Version 5.9.0 and suddenly we don’t have the option to add in SKUs to simple & variable products.

We tried disabling every plugin but Woocommerce on a staging site but we still couldn’t see the field and i can’t find anything in the changelogs about it being removed.

I’ve included the system report but i can’t seem to find anything that would suddenly cause it to disappear.

Kindly note that the SKU field changed its place in one of WooCommerce’s previous updates.

You can find the SKU field by editing the desired product and then looking for the Inventory section:

Hey @judagutor

Slight problem… its not there at all..

No SKU

Its also not in the main products list anymore, i can’t see any plugin causing this clash as disabling all of them didn’t bring the SKU option back and some of the older products still have a SKU but you can’t edit or see them. Can only see the sku if you look at the orders

That is indeed strange!

If you already tried disabling all plugins then the issue could be due to the theme, as you are using an outdated version:

If updating your theme to the latest version doesn’t help either then please temporarily switch the theme to Storefront.

Ahh, yep! It is the theme, switched it to Twenty Twenty on our dev site and it worked!

Will have to contact our other developer as he built this theme and find out whats going on!
