SKU not available in product feed

    I can see that SKU isn’t available in the default attributes that are exported to Google, but rather the only ID exported is a less useful: “gla_” + product/post ID

    Given Google’s insistence on including some sort of GTIN (and there is no functionality with this plugin to map GTIN to an existing product attribute) I was hoping to use a supplementary feed on the Google side to match SKUs with their GTIN.

    Is there a way to include the product SKU in the feed using this plugin? Without manually populating data into the plugin specific fields (we have way too many products for that).

    Hi @taxsyn,

    Currently, there doesn’t seem to be a way to send the SKU to the feed using Google Listings and Ads. That said, a feature to globally map attributes to existing product fields or taxonomy values is being considered, so that may include SKUs. I can’t provide any timeline for that yet though.

    There is also no way to change this default behavior. It’s set that way to help with identifying products that were submitted with the plugin.
