Skype status not updating?

  • Anyone have any idea why my Skype Online Status plugin is not reflecting my status? The icon displays fine, but it constantly says “Status Unknown.” (And yes, I am currently logged into Skype when I check.) I couldn’t find any support forums for this plugin so I was wondering if maybe someone on here had a clue. Help?

  • 1. Start Skype.
    2. Go to Tools, Options, Privacy.
    3. Check the box by “Allow my status to be shown on the web.”
