  • Hello @igorbiz,

Technically there is no difference, and it’s not an issue.

Like this: between https://www.example.com and https://example.com, as such, there is no cause for concern, this is also valid for the utilization of a slash; between https://example.com and https://example.com/, there is no difference.

As long as the link is not broken, that’s correct.

However, there are differences between these links; the second one is broken:
    https://example.com/about-us/
    https://example.comabout-us/

    Thank you, @skalanter

The matter is that it creates 301 redirect from ?https://example.com to ?https://example.com/ as far as I understand. I think that the more links with 301 we have the worse our seo is, or am I wrong ? …

    Best Regards

    Hello @igorbiz,

Thank you for reaching out to us,
In this case, please check your third-party plugin settings. Perhaps they’ve provided an option for this; this is not in the theme.

The theme will recognize the URL from the multilingual plugin by WordPress defaults hooks in breadcrumbs, and it does not change anything on the URL(you’ll see the same behavior in another standard WordPress theme with breadcrumbs).

You can look for input related to the “URL” field to add a trailing slash, or for more information, get in touch with your third-party plugin author. Maybe they have a solution that we are not aware of.

    I hope it helps.
    Best Regards
