    Hi Support,

I just would like to ask if there is an advantage having the slider image as a background image in css vs an actual image and overlayed with text? I noticed the plugin is using css background image for the slide image while most plugins uses the <img> tag. Please advise. Thanks!

    Hello,

    Thank you for your question.

It also comes down to your requirements. Sometimes its easier to have an image as a background.

This approach is added as a convenience for users to give them flexibility when creating sliders. Both approaches are equally great.

The second approach being using a cover block or an image block.

Feel free to ask any questions if you need more info, I’m always happy to help.

    Hi,

Okay, so I think we need to use the image as background option since we need to be able to add text on top. We’ve been able to do that and slider works fantastic overall.

Our only concern now is the image being added as background – will that affect the load speed negatively? Will the image size get added to the css file size?

Any guidance for best practice would be appreciated. Thanks.
