Slide info with color overlay behind the info

Hi! I really like this slider plugin. I’ve been trying to put slide info on top of each slide. I’d like for the info to include the title, small blurb, and the date of the post I’m linking the slide to.
I also want a color overlay over the slide behind the info so the info is easy to read no matter what color the slide is. Any help? I put some info on each slide, but I couldn’t figure out how to do the overlays. I just want the overlays to be just behind the slide info with 15px padding. I am using the 100% full-width slider, and I’d like the slide info to appear inside of the container margins. Any suggestion would be very appreciated!
