Slide Order

Yes, you can order the slides, there are 2 ways:

1. If you’re using the [tribulant_slideshow] shortcode to show all slides from Slideshow > Manage Slides, you will order there.

2. If you’re using a [tribulant_slideshow gallery_id=X] shortcode, you want to order the slides for that gallery by going to Slideshow > Manage Galleries and click “Order Slides” below the specific gallery.

Hi – Using Option #2 I can reorder the slides and that works. BUT when I make any update (such as change the description or title) then that slide is now put to FIRST in the gallery overriding my previous sort. Also it would be REALLY helpful if the short showed the thumbnail (because in my case the titles are identical for several slides so I have to guess which one to move). Thanks it is a good plug-in, but working with the slide order is really painful in my case…thx, Laura

Option #2 seems to work just fine.
We’re currently not using descriptions or titles so that hasn’t been an issue for us.

When you go to option #2, click on the icon at the top of the list that looks like four squares. Than you will see thumbnails of your pictures. You can sort them while seeing which picture you’re working with. Hope that helps.

Milt you are my hero and it is pretty amazing I never tried that, geez, I am usually not that slow. Well it would have been great to know that yesterday, however moving forward – super happy to know about the thumbs!!! Thanks Milt for the info.

I had to order my slides as 1) 3) and 2) to get the order to appear as 1) 2) 3).

Gahhhh! And it changed. Must need to do a hard refresh to see the changes. Something does seem a little buggy about the ordering tool, though.

I give up… it is supposed to be “About Us”, “Sermon Archive”, then “Online Giving”. Can’t seem to get it right.
