Slide Show not resizing

I have used the slide show on several websites and love what it can do under a header, i.e. https://dev.horticulture.wisc.edu as an example.

However, I want to use it on a site where I have manipulated the header to be a non-traditional size. Now when I resize the site on a browser the pictures go outside the header on all sides. https://nisa.cals.wisc.edu/devsite/ If you drop the devsite you will see what the original site looks like.

I am not very proficient at digging deep into the bowels of css, so am not sure where to start with this. I’m thinking it has something to do with positioning, but I tried various settings and nothing made a difference.

Does anyone have any suggestions?
