  • Hi lakewen,

Please could you check you don’t have ‘Reverse’ checked in the advanced settings? It all looks correct to me, but I’m not sure how the slides are ordered in Meta Slider itself.

    Regards,
    Tom.

Thx for the response. I don’t see a Reverse choice in Advance.
we are using 2.7.2 basic version
    Nivo Slider
    theme default
    arrows selected
    smart crop
    hover pause

instructions from our developer add a new slide (it puts it at the bottom of the list of slides) drag the slide to the top as the list grows not having to drag the slide up would be a plus. thus the newest slide (one shown on opening the site) is first in the list and the oldest is at bottom of the list

just in case it matters this dialog is at the top of the admin panel:
One or more plugins have been activated or deactivated, please <empty the cache> and check the <minify settings> to maintain the desired user experience.

    Hi,

Thanks for the info. To be clear, the slide at the top of the slideshow (in WordPress) is the last slide when you view the slideshow on your site?

So you have, in Meta Slider, the following slides in this order:
    Slide 1 (at the top)
    Slide 2
    Slide 3 (at the bottom)

But they are displayed in this order on your site:
    Slide 3
    Slide 2
    Slide 1

    Is that correct?

    Regards,
    Tom

sorry for slow response been traveling.
it is a bit more complicated, hopefully this makes sense.

if you take a quick look at the site this will make more sense
    https://www.lakewenatcheeinfo.com

The oldest slide is the Biathalon slide, the newest is
    Lake Wenatchee, By Bernice Schick

each slide is added at the end of the show, and the dragged to the top so it is the current slide displayed, when the site is launched

    there are really two issues
1: to go back in time the user must press the right arrow, when left arrow would be more natural. Visitors want to see the current photo of the day and then navigate back thru pictures they might have missed.

2: it would be great if there was a setting add new slides at the begining or end of the show. (save the dragging)

i don’t see an option to ‘reverse’ thanks for the help

thought about this a bunch more. the arrows are working in a logical manner. what we really need is a setting that says
    X Start Displaying First Slide
    O Start displaying Last Slide

    Default to FIrst Slide

this would allow us to add slides at end, and not move them

by setting control to ‘Last’ we will get the arrow behavior we need

previous arrow slide would back up the list, exactly as needed

hoping to pop this up for further discussion.
