Did you mean clear the cache. Right?

And why is the cache the solution to the issue?

Because the issue will still be there regardless.

I am planning to purchase the pro version BUT I need to know if this issue can be resolved WITHOUT forcing to load and change the featured images.

Please go to your Admin Panel->Appearance->Customize->Additional CSS.
Please put below CSS in this section.
