Slider Height – Content vs Image

    New to WordPress and Merlin and am trying to customize my Slider. My featured images match the recc size but the height of my slider is way too tall. For example, if the image is 440×880, the content preview is more like 880×440 – at a different height with blank space above the post title.

    Would appreciate help to fix this. Thanks!

    Hi there,

    Thanks for using Merlin.

    Your images for the slider have to be 880 pixels wide and 440 pixels height. WordPress will crop the images to that size when you upload them, but is not able to make images bigger than their original size.

    You therefore have to use images which have a minimum size of 880 x 440. An image of 440w x 880h does not fit this criteria.

    To clarify, my images are sized correctly. It’s the content preview of the slider that is sized too tall. Any ideas about this?

    The size of the content area in the slider can not be changed, I’m sorry.

    Hey Thomas,

    The issue was actually the height of the Slider widget increasing – the featured image was sized correctly, but the text box next to it increased in height randomly.

    I resolved the issue by reinstalling the theme, but recently the issue came back–perhaps with a WordPress update?
