Slider Image problems

Can anyone help me?
I’m migrating my site from wordpress.com and have decided to switch over to Kale because it’s a gorgeous theme but I’m having a few problems with images..One of my slider images is HUGE, is there any way to reduce the size of the images in the slider in general?
Also, my featured images already incorporate titles so I’d really like to remove the text from the slider images. Is this possible? I’ve seen another post with the code to remove the date and comments but can you remove the title too?
Finally, Is there a recommended size for the blog posts featured images? As some of my images are vertical it looks a bit messy and I don’t know the best way to clean it up. Do I need to re-do the images and change them this end?
Thanks in advance and sorry if these questions are dumb. I’ve read the documentation and searched the forum but can’t seem to find the information

In the last version of Kale there is a special option for disabling all captions and links in slider: “Hide Captions, Link Images?”. It’s available under Appearance → Customize → Front Page → Banner / Slider. Please see this screenshot: https://prntscr.com/fqqgeo
The recommended image size for posts featured images is 1200x800px. You can automatically regenerate your images with this plugin: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/
