• I’m using the Genesis Corporate Pro theme with all wordpress files, themes, and plugins up to date. After the latest update of the SEO Slider plugin (to V1.0.10), the images in the slider at the top of my homepage stopped appearing. The text still shows up, but on a gray background.

I’ve tried deactivating and reactivating the plugin, creating a new slider with the same images, and clearing my cache. I see that the latest update was supposed to fix a conflict with Corporate Pro, but I wasn’t having any problems before that update. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Looks like the missing images is due to a conflict with the Autoptimize plugin. Could that be fixed?
I do still have the background image flash problem mentioned here with v1.0.10.

for Autoptimize; first and foremost try to identify what is breaking the slider images by just disabling CSS or JS or Image optimization (incl. lazyload). Once you know that, dive in and try identify what code/ files (CSS or JS or image) are responsible for the broken feature and try excluding that.

If the problem is with JS, chances are you’ll find useful information on your browser’s developer console.

There’s more info in the troubleshooting tips and info on exclusions in the AO FAQ.

    hope this helps,

Thanks for this post. I have same theme and same thing happened. Disabled Autoptimize and the images come back. Will have to dig deeper but for the meantime images are back.

OP did you have any luck identifying which part of Autoptimize was causing the issue?

@thetraininglady Glad you were able to get your images back too. I haven’t had the time to dig in, so I’ve left Autoptimize disabled for now. If I get around to debugging, I’ll post any updates here.
