• My slider images and text load fine but link to the WP install directory instead of the post that they are the featured image of.

The URL of the images themselves in the Media section link the WP install directory as well, but the option to change that link is grayed out.

My WP site is installed into a subdirectory (/wp) but have the settings pointing to the root dir which contains the index.php and htaccess file.

    Any help much appreciated.

  • Hi @enin,

Sorry to hear of the problem you are having.

I could confirm the issue on your shared site but couldn’t reproduce it on my test site.

Have you made any changes in the theme files?

Please try deleting and reinstalling the fresh latest version of theme.

Also please share me the screenshot of media section where the image link is displayed.

    Best Regards,

I haven’t touched the theme files. I thought it might be the child theme I had setup, so I reverted back to the original.

I have just updated WP install and deleted/redownloaded the theme, but still no luck.

I have deleted the image in the slider, reuploaded, reattached to the post – same outcome, still a broken link.

The media section looks like this, with the URL grayed out.

    Thanks!

I visited the page on your site https://kulacenterky.com/category/workshops/ and found the posts are also having the same issue where “Read More” button is pointing to the same URL.

Could you please temporary try using default WordPress Twenty Fifteen theme and check whether the post URLs work fine there?

What have you set for the site options “WordPress Address (URL)” and “Site Address (URL)” on the following path?

Admin Area -> Settings -> General
