• Hello

I am not sure if I should post this on the Theme support page or the Plugin support page so please do point me in the right direction if I have put this in the wrong place.

We have had the AccessPress Lite theme installed without issue. Today we find the slider is no longer functioning as a slider. Instead of a slider it displays three images on the home page, one below each other.

We are at WordPress version 5.5.1–en_GB
We have just updated AccessPress Lite from version 2.88 to 2.91.
The theme recommended we install plugin Kirki Customizer Framework. This we did installing Kirki version 3.1.5.

After the Kirki plugin install we now find that the slider no longer works. Instead of fading from one slide to the next it displays three images on the home page one below the other.

For now we have deactivated the plugin Kirki Customizer Framework and the slider has returned to normal, ie it now acts like a slider.

Is the theme requirement for the Kirki plugin just for giving extra Customizer options or does the theme need the Kirki plugin installed and activated for other reasons?

    TIA
    Jules

  • Hi there,

    Thank you for writing back,

The Kirki plugin is to add more features in the theme. Could you please activate the plugin and please try deactivating all other plugins to see if this resolves the problem (plugin functions can interfere). If this works, re-activate them individually (one-by-one) to find the problematic plugin(s).

    Regards!

I’m having the same issue. I’ve noticed it’s only in chrome and when I clear my browsing history the issue resolves. However, I shouldn’t have to ask visitors to clear their history to view the site without glitches. I’ve installed the plugin Kirki and activated it. But I do not want to deactivate all the other plugins as this will mess with the site’s functionality on other pages. Isn’t there another fix to this other than this? I mean why should I update the theme in the future? Why should I choose this theme on other websites if I don’t trust that I can safely update the theme?
