This happened recently, after the last update. The slider disappeared from the home page. No matter what I do, the slider will not show.

The slider images and settings are still active in the Customizer, but the slider is not responding. The site shows “no slider”, the space where it is suppose to be is gone.

I tested the plugins, no change.

No sense changing themes to see if it works, because the slider is theme dependent, so that won’t help.

    Thanks.

    Hello @mwarbinek

Please can you go to Settings -> Reading in your admin area an check that you’ve either assigned a static homepage or set the blog to display on the front page. The slider performs a check to ensure the front page has been correctly assigned before being loaded.

Please let us know how you get on.

    Kind regards.

Thanks for the quick reply ??

Yes, it was set for a static front page. I also switched it to Posts as the front page and the same problem. I switched back to static page and no difference.

It was working fine before. The site has not change for some time, but the slider has changed recently – not working.

Just an update, I had to install another free plugin to insert an image slider since this theme’s “ThinkUpSlider” is not working (yet).

That free plugin works since the theme provides a place to insert the slider short-code.

Still, I prefer the default slider since it provides the ability to have text overlays to the slider images.

    Looking forward to your reply.

    FIXED!!

I just installed the new update (version 1.3.11) for the Renden theme and it fixed this missing slider issue, all is now well ??

    Thanks.
