I was trying to use the slider control in one of my payment forms. It displays properly (or at least in a workable way) in the Form Preview, but not on my page. It appears as a thin line, only half the width of the form, and with only the end point values displayed, not the selected value.

I see this was reported a few years ago, but no fix was reported then. Could I be doing something wrong, or does this just not work?

My purpose in using the slider is mainly to set a minimum value for an arbitrary payment amount, and I didn’t see any other way to do that. Suggestions for alternative approaches are welcome.

It should work. It does on my systems – e.g. https://fullworks.net/docs/quick-paypal-payments/demos-quick-paypal-payments/payment-with-an-amount-slider/

It sounds most likely your theme CSS is impacting the front end display, especially if it is looking good on the back end.

I’d need to see an actual example ( e.g. on a test post ) to be able to give any further guidance.

In terms of minimums – yes that is currently the only method ( but a good idea for a future version )

    Thanks for looking into this.

As a newbie here, I’m not sure how to communicate a link to you without it being public. Can you advise please.

We’re still on the Twenty Ten theme, so nothing strange, just old.

No problem. Here’s the page I’m working on:

The form in question is at the bottom of the page.

Can you disable your caching plugin – as it make it very difficult to inspect css, thanks.

I’ve disabled caching, which also cleared the cache.

Hi I can’t really debug it any more remotely – it is for some reason missing the centre value. Not much more I can say at the moment.

OK. Thanks for trying. It was a bit of a compromise anyway because of having to also set an upper limit. My fallback will be just to have separate membership and donation payments and forget about the combined case.
