Slider Problems

  • I love this theme! I have been using WordPress for a few hours now, so there’s a lot to learn.

    I have your “slider” option enabled. However, I cannot get it to display anything on the home page. Can you guide me in how to get this to work?

    I have a couple other questions, but would you like me to start individual threads for those questions?

    PS – If you look at my site you will notice I haven’t gotten very far into the customization yet.

  • Hi,
    Slider shows featured images from blog posts. So you need set up featured image for your post and it will be shown in slider

    Thank you for the reply. I have set a featured image on a “post”. It shows up on that post’s page, but does not create a slider on the home page. If you look at the site, you will see under ‘recent posts’ that I have put an image on that page.

    please, try to add several posts for testing (upload new featured images, not select from earlier uploaded images)

    Please go to Appearance –> Theme Options and be sure that option “Show slider” is set to “Show”.

    Thanks for the reply. I finally got it to work – I had the slider pointing to a specific ‘category’ for content.

    One more question – what kind of size picture is normal for that slider? (in pixels)

    1170*450. If image larger – it will be resized to this dimensions

    Rudi – Did you try what loginu posted right above you as far as the ‘show slider’ option being enabled? It looks like all of your blog posts have an image, so as long as the option to show slider is enabled it should work.

    I got it. finally I got my slides shows on homepage. thank you for your help.
    but it seems like each image has different size. I dont know how to make those images to be same size
