My site has multiple sliders on a page, being displayed using a loop. On mobile only, the images in the sliders are mixed up (our posts are movies and for example one movie will show the slider images of another movie). I am thinking this is a caching issue, but it’s only been reported on iPhone 6/6+ so I’ve been unable to recreate the issue. But we’ve received several complaints that this is happening on several different posts in the loop.

Hi there,

I’ve taken a look as the images within the sliders seem to match up with the titles.

Without checking the sliders themselves we can’t be sure that they are displaying the correct images, but at least it looks like the images match the movie titles they are displayed with.

I’ve not come across this issue before and it’s odd that the reports have suggested iPhone 6/6+.

I do see JavaScript errors on the site so it might be worth investigating these…

If you can reproduce the error then please let us know.

Here are a few examples of the issues being reported. I’ll also note that my client is the one experiencing this the most and she is on the page frequently. Clearing the cache temporarily solves the problem, but it persists.

Hi,

thanks for the screenshots.

I’ve been able to reproduce the issue in iOS simulator – I saw a broken image for this file:

The image loads correctly when viewed directly in iOS and upon refresh so it’s not an issue with the file itself and/or iOS.

There’s ~36 sliders on the page which is a lot to process, this could be causing an issue on page load, but obviously just for iOS…

It’ll be a tricky one to debug and due to it’s nature. It might be a transient issue with this version of iOS perhaps.

It might be worth switching to Flex Slider or R. Slides if possible to see if they handle the load a bit better. I know this would involve restyling but it could resolve the issue.
