Slider stopped working after update

Hi mdelannoy. Your site it displaying this error:

jquery.js?ver=1.12.3:2 Uncaught Error: Syntax error, unrecognized expression: a[href=#toplink]

That jquery error was noted in the WP 4.5 Master List here:

It may be that your theme needs to be updated.

I found this issue with the Moderno theme.
I commented out the lines 38 through 48 in wp-content/themes/Moderno/js/jquery.init.js

The problem has been solved with an update to the latest version of the theme. Thanks for all the replies.
