Slider stops working/disappears when placed on home page

  • I am using the ThemeFuse Medica theme and have just re-worked my site (I am not tech-savvy). When I set up a slider, it works wherever I place it – except the home page.

    I tried creating a new page identical to the home page and it worked until I designated this page as the home page in the customize settings – the slider simply disappears!
    I’ve tried de-activating all of my plug-ins and it doesn’t make any difference.
    Any help would be appreciated (if providing code, please be very clear about where/how to insert it as I am a gumby!)
