The high contrast stylesheet doesn’t suppress sliders, per se; what it does is remove background images. If the slider you’re using uses background images, then it will hide them along with all other background images on the page.

You can add custom CSS to your high contrast stylesheet to leave the background image in place, but since I don’t know anything about your slider, I can’t be more specific than that.

    Hello,

I use Revolution slider and I have the same problem. Could you tell me how can I solve it?

    Thanks for your help!

    Best regards,

I can’t really provide you with specific information; the above message includes the general information: adding custom CSS to your high contrast styles so that you can preserve the background image, but I can’t tell you the specific CSS you need, since I don’t know anything about your site.

    Good morning all,

i have run into a similar issue with the revolution slider, the image is set as the background in the slider plugin and gets supressed but i also noted that a logo that is layered gets cropped

the site i am using it on right know is in dev mode so it is beta.thekightsofmalta.com when it goes live just drop the beta in the address.

as we speak i am going to test that if i do the background image as a layer if it still suppreses it or not.

tried the background image as a layer in the plugin, how ever it got distorted and would not scale right. in short i was not able to replicate the “backgrounds” settings

i believe if that somewhere in the code there may be a need to specifically state that if revolution slider block is loaded to skip it in the high contrast mode.

    regards

Yes, that is what you need to do; you’ll need to add custom CSS in the contrast stylesheet that overrides the high contrast behavior.

any idea, what need to be edited where and in what please? as not to end up breaking the site, and also would serve a good reference point for less knowledgeable users.

    thanks

I really don’t have any specific familiarity with Revolution Slider. You’ll need to add CSS within the high contrast stylesheet that overrides the removal of backgrounds on your revolution slider container; whatever container it is that has the image background.
