Slider Widget Product Selection

  • The list of products that are shown in the slider widget appears random, and includes disabled products. It would be preferable to manually enter the product id, rather than have to pick from this list since the products we want to show aren’t listed.

    As a result of the above, I have to use the shortcode to show the desired products. However…

    When using the shortcode, the width of the slider exceeds the width of the product image and therefore shows the edge of the previous product image. Our images are all 300px square, (WordPress Medium Media setting). If I reduce column width or alter padding, the RH side of the slider is cut off and the edge of the previous side still shows on the left.

    The list of checkboxes in wp-admin? Nope, it’s not random. Maybe try dumping your plugin cache.

    Is that a problem? Why? What if you wanted to advertise a “coming soon” product?

    Noted, but it’s hard for me to imagine that most users would find this to be a good UX. You could filter this via a sub-plugin or functions.php code.
