slider with great theme without the page add

What would be the easiest way tot get the slider at the top to show without adding the page content it’s added to as well. I just want the awesome slider functionality on my main (home) page but don’t want to add the home content to the home page as well. I thought about disabling the slider form the home page (removing the image) and adding a custom slider plugin to the them but I figure the functionality is already there, I just need to tweak it. This theme works great for a project I’m working on but just need this piece to work. Any help is greatly appreciated.
