Hello, the slider won’t autoplay on mobile for me. It works fine on desktop just not on mobile and it doesn’t give me any javascript errors. I’m not using any caching plugins either.

    I’ve tried the following:
    – Disabling all my other plugins and using the Twenty-Twenty theme
    – Using the “window load” setting in the Load Event settings
    – Using the “General” setting in the Ajax Page Loading settings
    – Disabling the touch swipe navigation in settings

    Please help! Thanks.

  • Hi @lindseytyner,

    Thank you for reaching out!
Is it possible to send me your website’s url (the page where the slider is)?
Also please send over a screenshot with your view’s settings so I can try to reproduce this issue on my end. You can paste the screenshot here using a service like Imgur, Pastebin, or Dropbox

    Warmly,
    Mihaela

Sure, it’s password protected at the moment since it is a dev site. Here is the link: https://perelmuter.wpengine.com/ (u: demo | p: creative11).

    As I mentioned, I’ve tried a few things…
    – Disabling all my other plugins and using the Twenty-Twenty theme
    – Using the “window load” setting in the Load Event settings (as well as the default)
    – Using the “General” setting in the Ajax Page Loading settings (also tried the default none)
    – Disabling the touch swipe navigation in settings

    Thanks.

Thank you for sending the link!
Can you please go to your dashboard > Testimonials > Views > edit the view with the slideshow > and scroll down to Behavior > and uncheck ‘pause on hover’ > save.
Can you please then clear your phone’s cache and try again? Does it fix it?

    Warmly,
    Mihaela

Hello, that setting is already unchecked so no, that did not fix it. ??

Any other ideas? I appreciate your help!

    Hi @lindseytyner!

I apologize for the delayed response!
We were trying to find the issue.
We will need to debug further, could you please go to your theme’s function.php file and add there (at the end) this code:
    define( 'SCRIPT_DEBUG', true );

It will help us investigate and see why it stops on mobile.

    Mihaela

No problem, thanks for looking into this. I actually figured out the issue over the weekend. Our first testimonial was rather long and was therefore taller than the viewport. Even though we had “pause on interaction” unchecked, I’m thinking the screen height must have triggered a pause somehow. By decreasing our font size a bit and making sure that the first testimonial was shorter than the screen size fixed it!

I hope that helps someone else. It was quite the puzzle ??

Thank you for letting us know! Happy to hear it works well now.
We will investigate this as well and see if we can find a solution for a future update.
Thank you for being so patient during this!

    Warmly,
    Mihaela
