I set the number of Items Displayed to 1,3,4,5,6,7 (from device widths mobile to desktop)
When I Preview the slider I see seven slides on my desktop ( fine, what i wanted)
When I then copy the Shortcode into a page, it shows only 4 slides.
I did a clean installation, no other plugins, no interference with other jqueries and the like
Anybody can tell me what i am doing wrong?

It sounds like you have another Plugin (or Page Builder) that also uses Owl Carousel 2 that is clashing with Slide Anything.

This other Plugin (Page Builder element) is probably using Owl Carousel to display something like a gallery slider, team carousel, testimonial carousel etc, and is setting its global defaults on the number of slides to display within Owl Carousel sliders (including Slide Anything).

Try deactivating other plugins that seem the likely culprit. Otherwise you can inspect (right-click and select ‘Inspect’) to possibly further drill down into the CSS/JavaScript being used within your Slide Anything slider.

Thanks Simon, but I gave up on Slide Anything and installed WP Post Carousel for my posts and Metaslider for my pictures
