• I’m using the Genesis child theme ‘Executive’ and am having trouble with the Responsive Slider plugin.

When adding a featured image to a ‘post’ and then selecting ‘post’ from the drop down within the slider settings, the slider appears correct when viewing the site.

However, when i’m changing the slider settings to ‘pages’ from the drop down and then adding the same featured image on a ‘page’ then nothing is viewing when I go to view the site.

    Could someone please help?

    Thanks,
    Craig

  • I had the exact same issue. It turns out, in order for the Genesis Responsive Slider to work for pages, you must attach the image as a “Featured Image”. This caused me confusion because you can simply “Add Media” to a post (as opposed to a page) and that media will appear in the slideshow. For whatever reason, the same is not the case for pages.

So for pages, add the image as Featured Image.

For posts, add the image as a Featured Image or just with the Add Media button.

Same problem here, and adding the image as Featured Image doesn’t solve it.
All I get is a “Not found, error 404”.

@pirchner – the other posters were not getting a 404. In their situation, the slider wasn’t showing an image for one or more pages.

Create a new thread and provide a bit of detail regarding the 404.
