• Looked through css but didn’t see anything, unless I missed something.

My slider images are 1200×500 but whenever the main page loads, it zooms in on my slider media making the images themselves look too big and also cutting off the top and bottom.

I’ve found info on how to remove a hover zoom on featured posts but haven’t been able to find anything about the slider yet.

Would someone please be able to direct me to where I can fix this? Thanks

Thank you. Not sure if you can tell from the site load but the site is https://automatedhomepros.com

The media itself of the first 2 slider images are not that zoomed in actual and also have several hundred more pixels on the top and bottom over what is shown.

    Hi,

After you had finished creating all your slides. Please try adjusting slider height.

Appearance -> Customize -> Content -> Front page
Find the setting -> Set slider’s height in pixels

    Thank you

I haven’t upgraded to Customizr Pro yet for 2 reasons:

    1) I was waiting until closer to go live to get the maximum time I could out of the yearly fee and

    2) I hadn’t researched yet whether upgrading will affect my Customizr Child theme that I downloaded or not?

So, I don’t have access to this menu currently.

Also, I’m not interested in changing the size of the slider. Just want the existing size to not zoom in on my images.

    Hi,

The option I had mentioned is available in Customizr ( Free ) Theme.

    Thank you

Then maybe I have another problem with my site? I did have someone else work on it previously…wonder if they screwed something up?

When I go to Customize, the only options I have are Menus, Widgets & CSS with a button above that says Upgrade to Pro. Even if I try to hover over or click the Customize or Remove This Slider button, I get a round circle with a line through it like I don’t have the option.

    Hi,

You are using old theme with current WordPress version.

You should upgrade your Customizr ( Free ) Theme to version 3.5.17

    Hi,

I have to go offline now.

Please wait for other user respond or give the theme author a ping if you require further help.

Thank you for your help yesterday Denzel. I had to go off line as well and got my theme updated so everything works there.

Unfortunately however the slider height did not work to fix the zooming in issue, it just made the image more cut off on top and bottom.

I did manage however to have it not zoom when I turned off the full page slider checkbox, but the only problem with that is I prefer the full screen, I just want it to show my image correctly and not zoom in on it.

Do you or anyone else have any ideas? Im not sure how to reach the theme author, I kinda figured they might monitor this forum.

    Hi,

Your image has to fit your monitor width.
I have an unofficial way of doing it.

This is what I had done.
    1) Downloaded your slider image. Rename it.
    2) Increase size to 1680px by 700px ( 1680px is the width of my monitor )
    3) Activate any WordPress default theme to prevent Customizr theme from cropping image.
    4) upload new slider image.
    5) Activate back Customizr Theme
    6) Setup slider
    7) Assign slider to homepage
    8) Change slider height to 800px so as to avoid the theme’s centering script.

    Please see my screen-cast.
