slideshow display problem

    Hi any help would be appreciated to solve this issue that’s got me scratching my head.

    Nextgen 1.8.3 installed with good plugin check test.
    Gallery created no problem
    imagerotator uploaded to /uploads and found on search
    [nggallery id=x] works fine
    slideshow option from [nggallery id=x] works fine

    however, for

    [slideshow id=x] nothing, not even the rotator

    tried all the usual such as reinstalling and turning off other plugins to no avail. This installation was installed through installatron but it isn’t in a sub directory if that has any bearing.

    has to be a nuance of the wp installation as have it working on other installs with same plugin/version combos

    Any ideas?

    thanks for the reply Alex.

    I ended up resolving but not finding out why the problem occurred. Since it was a new install I just created a new database and pointed it to the WP install. It worked after that.
