slideshow loading delay

when i visit my page with a slideshow on it, if shows a “working” or “loading” swirling lines over the slideshow image… is there a setting i need to change to avoid this “loading” ?
Why is it loading? the image appears so i am not sure what is “loading”. Please advise.
