Slideshow no longer works after WP 4.3.1 update

  • Help please – how can I resolve this – I have been trying for weeks – finally asking for help – researched the forums – no answer. Disables all plugins – cleared cache -checked permalinks – galleries used to show photos changing – sized properly – now the image is huge and you have to scroll down to see them.

    You can see on this page how the pictures are large – no photo gallery is working any longer now the WP upgraded https://www.oakphotography.com/gallery/families/

    @fandam7 – You appear to have re-sized your thumbnails to very large dimensions, that being the case the display is as expected …

    I would suggest reviewing your gallery settings and thumbnail sizes to ensure they are what you expect.

    First this used to show perfectly before WP was updated – Im afraid I cannot remember if it was a slide show or just a photo gallery although it does say “show slideshow” on the page but that does not work anyway – I updated all plugins after the upgrade and that did not help.

    So today I went in to look at TN settings and it is listed as override TN settings – no- so I changed it to yes and now it shows like this: https://www.oakphotography.com/gallery/families/nggallery/thumbnails which does look better but still is not the way it was. I am pretty sure before it showed one large on with small TN with the slideshow changing them.

    AND – on the home page the slideshow that used to work still works on the mobile version https://www.oakphotography.com/ why not on the desktop too???

    Looks like it’s working for you now at https://www.oakphotography.com/ on my desktop.
    Can you share the secret sauce on this one?

    ha ha – sure but it’s still not right but is a little better – the home page still does not show the slide show but it does on the iphone for the mobile version. only thing I did was went into the setting and clicked on override TN – changed the no to a yes.
    Not there yet.

    @fandam7 – Were you using a NextGEN Legacy version (1.19.13 or earlier) as well before you updated to the latest WordPress (which would not cause any of these issues)?

    Also, have you tried using a default WordPress Twenty series theme such as Twenty Eleven temporarily to see if that has any effect on what you are seeing?
