    Hi,

That’s very strange. Have you tried temporarily deactivating your other plugins to see if any of them are conflicting with the slideshow plugin?

    Best regards,
    Stefan

    Hi there
I have exactly the same problem as jumpinsteph and I have tried deactivating other plugins. Have just upgraded to WP 3.8 and my previous slideshow plug-in stopped working. I’ve tried various plug-ins and can’t get any of them to work including yours which just doesn’t display the menu option in the left side panel. Its all a bit frustrating……….

    Hope you can help

Hello @qmsgirl what theme are you using?

    Hi mbrsolution,
I’m using the Genesis framework and lifestyle theme.
    Cheers

oops sorry – its the serenity theme- still Genesis.

    Hi There

I have exactly the same issue. It has been in the dashboard for a number of months and now it’s disappeared. The plugin is still active and existing slideshows active.

I’m using a custom theme built on twentyeleven.

    Thanks

    Gem

Hello @qmsgirl, before you updated to WordPress 3.8 was the plugin working well? If it was have you check to see if you have the latest version of your theme serenity? If you do is it compatible with WordPress 3.8?

Hi @gem when you say it has been in the dashboard for a couple of months what changed? Another words what did you update or upgrade for it to stop working?

    Kind regards

Hi there – everything is up to date – wordpress, plugins and theme. I haven’t used slideshow before so I can’t say if it would have worked with the previous version. I was trying to find a nice simple slideshow and yours looked like a good fit. Its very strange but I have just double checked again – plugin is installed and activated but no galleries item on the menu.
Hope you can find the gremlin…………

    Hello @mbrsolution I updated to 3.8

Hello @gem245 can you try and disable all other plugins and enable one by one testing to see if one of your plugins is conflicting with the Slideshow plugin.

    Kind regards

Hi @qmsgirl would you be able to test a different theme i.e. WordPress default theme to see if the plugin might be having conflicting issues with Serenity theme.

    Kind regards

Aaah yeas, I’ve found the bug. Thanks ??

Hi @gem245 I am happy to hear that you have found your culprit ?? Perhaps you might like to share with us if it is not personal your solution.

If anyone has a similar setup like yours, this will let them know and make them aware.

    Kind regards

Sure no worries. I had just installed a contest plugin called Wishpond. That was the conflicting with Slideshow. I’ve deactivated Wishpond and slideshow is working fine.
