Slideshow view broken in versions 3.1.8 – 3.1.11

  • I’m writing a new support request for this ongoing issue because https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/superfluous-read-more-link-with-short-testimonials/ has been marked as resolved and ignored for 4 and a half months.

    A recap of the issue:
    A non clickable ‘Read more’ is inserted after the content in slideshow view and the last few words of the testimonial content are cut off (presumably to make room for the non-functioning ‘read more)’. The read more is always added, no matter the length of the testimonial content.

    This breaks the slideshow view, so it is a serious bug. The only workaround at this time is to roll back to version 3.1.7.

    Our development team is aware of this issue and it will be fixed in our future update. Apologies for the trouble! 

    In the meantime please go to your WP dashboard > Testimonials > Views > edit your view > Fields > Content > set it like this.

    You can change the value for the words to meet your needs. Please let us know if this helps and also if you have any questions! ??
