Slideshow "Yes" breaking gallery with over 50 images

Once the gallery reaches over 50 photos having the slideshow option turned on breaks the gallery in Chrome. It doesn’t allow users to use the next, back, or thumbnails for navigation and the slideshow doesn’t auto play.
If I refresh the page it then works again, but on page load this is happening.

I’m using the Pikachoose gallery option.
p.s. Upgrading may fix this, but I can’t find a new version of the plugin. I just get this when searching for it, or clicking the link from the site
