Slimstat now tracking Googlebot

We are looking into this. Is Googlebot identified as a “crawler” in the browser type? (little spider icon)

Same here for me with WordPress 4.6.1 and PHP 5.6.

Is the (only) solution updating to PHP 7 oder will there be a fix? Because, as @kallekn mentioned, the statistics are useless at this time. ??

For the time being, I am manually filtering out the Googlebot ip numbers, which seems to be working. But that is not a good solution, especially because I probably have missed some ip numbers.

Is any of you willing to test a fix we have to address this issue with PHP 5.6? If so, please contact us at https://support.wp-slimstat.com and we will go from there.

In the meantime: @kallekn do you have a list of IP addresses I can use? I’ll look into my statistics and will update the list if I’ll see some other addresses. So both of us (and others) can benefit from it.

It is still occurring.

Actually, the problem now seems to be resolved. The occurrences of Googlebot I was seeing earlier today were probably from just before I updated to 4.4.3.

Terrific! Thank you for letting everybody know! We’re glad 4.4.3 hit the nail in the head.

However, I am still getting a few MSNbot hits, but I can’t say whether I was getting them before the first update as well. No Googlebot hits since the latest update in any case, and I have turned the manual filters off. ??
