    Hi,

I was experiencing a very slow wp-admin (dashboard) and a approx. 50% slower load of the front-end (website) since upgrading to WordPress 3.7.

Just couldn’t figure out why… so I deactivated all plug-ins installed and activated one-by-one to test what was going on.

With no plug-in activated my site was ok again.

Once activating Wp-Slimstat, the site slowed down again and the dashboard was very very slow… sometimes not accesable.

Now I’ve turned of Wp-Slimstat and everything is fine.

    Some suggestion ?

    Regards,

    Fred

We’re aware of the issue and are working on a fix. Are you using our User Overview add-on?

    Thanks for your fast reply.

I’m not using your User Overview Add-On.. to be honest, never heard about it…

    Any other add-on for SlimStat?

    I assume you’re using SlimStat 3.4…

For now I suggest you install WP Super cache to at least speed up the front end, then in the settings menum under views tab, change Right Now Extended to NO.

Also under General Tab set Track Admin Pages to NO

This will at least allow you to use the plugin until they fix the performance issues.

    Thanks JW.

I will leave the plug-in deactivated. It is not only just the speed issue. Since it happened the amount of visitor per day also dropped by 80% and since I deactivated the plug-in it, today the amount of visitors is back to normal level.

    Hi Camu,

This sounds like the same issue we are having on our MultiSite i.e. the WP-admin page on individual sites AND out network admin take around 30 seconds to load up – we ARE using the (great) user overview plugin which we find essential.

    Looking forward to a fix!

I’m wondering if its worth splitting up the user stats DB into individual databases for each blog on multisites. I’m sure this is part of the problem i.e. HUGE (user) database with an inefficient SQL query.

Do you have a date yet for the fix?
Thanks again, and keep up the good work.

    Alex,

user stats are already store into separate tables, one for each blog. Only ‘lookup tables’ are shared, since they tend to stay small and contain much less records. You could leverage our Custom DB add-on to move SlimStat’s tables to another database, if that can mitigate the problem on your server.

The fix will be released next Monday.

    Best,
    Camu
