• Is there a “scanning tool” out there, that can tell me why my site is running so slow?

Cause I’m sitting with a site, that is ridiculous slow. And the backend part of the site, is almost toast.

    Which Themeforest theme is that?

    https://hyldahlthomsen.dk/wp-content/themes/theme/style.css

It looks like you’ve gone to lengths to disguise that. The reason I am asking is that all of these assets from the theme will slow down your page load.

Nice site. Try https://gtmetrix.com/ for speed testing and maybe use WP Super Cache

by accident I looked at the source code of the frontpage and there’s reference to the old domain it used to be on.

The site was moved a week ago from dinnyeside.dk/hyldahl to the above url.

That simply must be the reason??

You’d need to change the paths to the images being pulled from that domain. A Search and Replace tool might help in case anything else is coming from that domain. With the load speed being high you may also want to check there’s no massive overheads in the database.

This question getting answered could really be helpful.

I ran your site through Pingdom Tools, and it looks like your website has a very high response time (but the subsequent resources load quickly). Mind that the response time will be even higher when you’re logged in because WordPress doesn’t cache anything for logged in users and has to process a lot of PHP for every page load. Try loading your page in an incognito tab and it should load faster.

If you aren’t already, you should start using a caching plugin like WP Super Cache and complement it with something like CloudFlare. That will bring down response times by a lot. Also check online reviews of your web host, and switch if they’re shitty.
