• Hello,

I use Enhanced Media Library on a website with a lot of content (thousands of posts in many post types, and hundreds of terms). Your plugin is really great, but it seems that there is a problem regarding how it performs SQL queries. When I load a page in the WordPress backend (dashboard, post listing, new post, etc.), Enhanced Media Library makes a LOT of SQL queries.

The Query Monitor plugin allows me to analyze the page load time and shows, all database queries performed on the current request as well as affected rows and time for all queries.

The wpuxss_eml_get_media_term_count() method makes more or less 3000 queries on each page load!

    Is it normal?

    Regards,

PS: I have also created a ticket on wpuxsolutions.com. I just want to share my problem with the WordPress users. Maybe someone have encounter the same issues.

    Hello all interested,

The problem was solved in private ticket by unsetting “Show count” on Settings > Media > Media Taxonomies (tab) > Options (section). Although, the described situation is not normal, we are working on the solution.

    Best,

Unfortunately I have the same problem.
The plugin is really great, but in a website with thousands of images, it’s very slow.
Your solution makes it better but it’s still slow in listing images when you wanna pick one from library to put into the post.
