Can something be done about this to make the page without the cache run faster?

You may try to configure cache to filter first 1-2 levels of filters. 2+ filters are working faster than first one.

Could I ask for an exact instuction on how to do this?

For example: Filtering by 2 filters color and price https://site.com/shop?filters=color%5B23%5D|price[29_45]

Configure your cache plugin to filter GET query when value filter is there and when it is without “|” symbol.

I don’t know if your cache plugin has such option but clients told that some have.
