Slow Confirmation of booking

    Our bookings page no longer consistently display the booking confirmation. After clicking the submit button, the page takes about 10 seconds to bring back the confirmation (this is actually an improvement since we tweaked the mail delivery)

    Is this standard processing time or do we have some kind of problem?

    We are on the most current version of events-manager and WordPress with an outdated version of events manager pro. We have checked the integrity of the database and all seems fine

    What process is going on after clicking on the button that could hang the system and delay completion of the process? How would one suggest we troubleshoot the problem?

    Just another piece of data. Cancellation of bookings takes around 20 seconds and does complete.

  • Hello,

    Sounds like there is a conflict of probably the server have too much load. Does process on other plugins takes 10-20 seconds also?

    Can you 1st try and update to the latest version of WP, EM and EM PRO? Then try changing to a default theme and deactivate all other plugins and only Activate EM and EM Pro.
    Then you can try and check if the process is still taking too long. If everything works, then you could try activating plugin one by one to see which one is causing.

    Hi,
    We are on the latest verions of WP and EM but aren’t current with EM PRO, so can’t upgrade EM Pro.

    Haven’t seen any delays in other plugins or processes.

    I will play around with deactivating plugins and default theme and see if that makes any difference.

    What is the normal time on other sites?

    depending on your site specs (such as installed plugins, themes) usually less than 3-5 seconds.
