Slow load

    Hello!
    Page load time is slow, +6 seconds. Running ping test shows that everything loads in a second or less except for font awesome and my font, which are taking 6 seconds to load. 3-4 seconds of that load time is waiting. (joyjournist.com)
    Tried disabling plugins, no change. Read about asynchronous loading, and tried it, but can’t get it to work correctly (I’m a newbie) Any thoughts?

  • Your site is loading fine in my end, I mean with the loading speed.

    https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/

    Make sure you install a decent WordPress Caching Plugin.
    Uninstall unused plugins.

    Thanks for using Unlimited!

    I’m seeing the same results that you discussed in my speed analysis (screenshot). I wasn’t able to recreate the same issue locally or on the Unlimited demo.

    For this reason, I think it would be best to contact your host about this. There may be some configuration they can change to improve the load times for the font files.
