Slow load in my pages, but not WordPress administration

  • When I use the WordPress control panel or MyPHPadmin, everything’s fine, but when I load any of my actual wordpress pages, it take 20 seconds before it will load for some reason. The problem started recently after doing some database importing, but the key is that it’s slow when viewing my pages, but not for anything else.

    It was working fine not long ago.

    I tried 5 different wordpress installations on my system and they all go slow even though they use different databases and tables. I also tried setting the themes to the default but it’s still got a nasty delay.

    The only thing I changed recently was adding some posts to one page and installing another wordpress installation in a subfolder. I have no idea what’s going on.

    I found the problem. My plugins use file operations and for some reason, any file operation on my computer suddenly causes a huge delay or page failure. It worked perfectly and I don’t know what changed, but I’m working on it.

    I reinstalled PHP, Apache, and MySQL, but it didn’t help. It’s a VERY weird issue.
