Slow Load – Need help!

Slowness:
– a poor or memory intensive theme
– poor or memory intensive plugins
– your hosts’ server is slow
-High CPU usage: When a WordPress installation is running hot it’s often a matter of an errant theme or plugin. Tracking that down can be challenging You might be able to do it via a process of elimination. That’s true for standalone or multisite.

Hey T-P,

I’ve been running the same theme for a while so I can’t imagine that would just start acting up out of nowhere.

– I’ll look into plugins again, but the only one that really stood out was the Page Numbers plugin that I mentioned above.

-Hosting was checked and everything on their end was running properly and up to speed. I’ve never had an issue with speed in the 5 years I’ve had the service so I don’t think that is the cause either.

I’m going to try that P3 plugin and see if that can track anything down for me.

Anyone else? Any WordPress tech’s want to take a look for me?

Your site has 129 markup errors and 77 warnings. A good beginning will be trying to reduce them. Also optimize images, and reduce the number of images loading from external sources.

It could be the server, but I doubt it is because this is a new issue and I’ve had no problems in the past 5 years with GoDaddy.

I noticed the issue really started after I downloaded the 3.5.1 update. Is there a chance they’ve got some sort of issue with it?

Krisha – Thanks for the heads up. Looks like the majority of those errors are in the Meta keywords I used.

This “WP-Page-Numbers.CSS” plugin is the only one really sending up major red flags. I’ve deleted the plugin through FTP, but can’t find the .css file anywhere. Any ideas of how to get rid of this?
