Slow login or drops out

  • I have tried just about everything to fix this. It either doesn’t load or it is super slow logging in and/or navigating through WordPress. I have deleted large plugins, but I cannot find a way to fix this. It was working fine up to a week ago and although I have deleted plugins I installed since, this has not rectified the problem. I tried doing a back up but it keeps dropping out. Internet connection is fine. All other websites work and load correctly, just not this one. If anyone could help please………….

    This may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins, and switch to the default Twenty Twenty-One theme. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of the problem.

    Hi @gabriela18, have you set up any redirection plugin or redirects rules into the .htaccess file?

    Hi @wajid-ali-tabassum I believe so but i will check as soon as I try @macmanx suggestion above. I just hope it stays logged in long enough to deactivate the plugins… Gabi

    So far, it has dropped out twice but I have managed to deactivate the plugins. Just wanting to change the theme.

    @macmanx James, it didn’t make any difference. It takes so long to get to the login screen. I get an error message and then it continues to load and takes me to the WP login screen.

    I have turned my firewall off and that didn’t make any difference either.

    Hello again. My apologies for the delay. we must be on different time zones. I changed over my hosting and now it appears to be working faster. I am going to activate my plug ins one at a time and see how I go. Thank you all for your help. If I continue having problems, I will be back.
