    Hi,

We’re having a problem with the load speed of mdocs full URL’s.
When document downloads go through the shortcodes (for individual or folders) they woek fine. When trying to access the document page via the mdocs URL e.g. https://www.wmfs.net/mdocs-posts/council-tax-leaflet/ it takes anything up to 2 mins to load, sometimes timing out all together.

We noticed this when using the full URL’s from hyperlinks to text within paragraphs (where the shortcode generated bar would not be suitable).

On analysis it seems to be any reference or attempt to access the mdocs-posts URL’s, which unfortunately is slowing down things like analytics and searching as well.

Are you able to provide any suggestions or assistance as to what may cause this?

    Many thanks

it may be caused by the social media icons. Head to Options > Settings > Displayed File Information > and uncheck Show Social.

    See if that helps.

Hi there, thanks for your reply.
We already had the social links turned off.

I’ve also tried turning off the preview tab, so it’s literally just loading the description, but it’s still taking 1-2 minutes to load the page.

    e.g. https://www.wmfs.net/mdocs-posts/statement-of-accounts/

Is there anything else you could suggest? As far as we can see there’s nothing else that should be causing a conflict as it’s purely loading the mdocs URL’s.

    Thanks

Looks like there is some issue with the way your rendering you page that is causing the page to be reloaded over and over again.

If you look at a browser inspector the actual page is loaded within a few ms but then the browser recalculates the style over and over again.

Have you tried using a default theme to see if this issue persists. If not I recommend doing that so we can determine if it a theme conflict.
