Slow on shared hosts but great on good hosts

  • If you are on a shared host, check that option under advanced setting. even then, it might take a while or even fail.
    If your host is good.. this is superfast in backing up and even restoring. Use ftp to upload to the backup folder and scan, restore.
    On very slower hosts, i had better luck with “all in one backup”. On good hosts, wpvivid rocks.

    P.s. The backup/restore speed largely depends on the disk I/O of the web server. The Shared Hosting Mode in the Advanced Settings is aimed to boost backup success rate on web hosting with inadequate resources. Therefore, backups under the mode will be running slower than usual.
