    Great plugin, everything works fine EXCEPT….

    The lightbox is really slow. It takes 2-3 seconds to load the lightbox and display an image. Once it’s open, each subsequent image is served up immediately when clicking the Next button. The slowness only happens when I click a thumbnail. My images are no bigger than 120kb. Even if I click the same thumbnail over and over, the lightbox still loads slowly. The server the site is on is top notch. Other lightboxes on this site don’t give me this problem.

    I’m using this plugin for a client’s site and I’d hate to have to discard it altogether given the amount of edits I’ve done. Please help me speed things up. If you don’t think it can go any faster than your demo version, please say so and I’ll gladly move on.

    WordPress’s lightbox function for its built-in gallery is quick and so is WPBakery PageBuilder’s lightbox function. They open with an image instantly so I know it’s possible to achieve.

    Hi,

    Please be informed that you have activated Preload images feature (Options > Global options > General > Preload images). You can deactivate it, but it will slow down the next/previous option for images.

    Thanks for the response but no, that’s not causing the slowdown. I can easily say that because I just deactivated Preload Images and the lightbox still loads slowly. As a matter of fact, I didn’t start out with Preload activated when I discovered the slowness of the lightbox loading. The lightbox loads 2-3 seconds either with or without Preload activated. There’s gotta be some other solution.
