slow response in dashboard – whats normal?

  • Hi all
    is it normal to have a 10 sec delay in the dashboard when ever selecting something?

    Ie click on plugins or pages etc, its very slow to react

    It depends on your hosting. If you’re using a normal shared hosting then it could happen. Try to use better hosting with SSD/NVM storage so you won’t have to wait for a long. Also, talk to your hosting provider and ask them to investigate if they any issues on their end. In the meantime, you could upgrade the PHP version to 8 and let me know how that goes! ??

    yes i am on a shared server with crazy and i think its causing me issues

    I did upgrade to PHP v8 and it caused problems due to a plugin
    WP-Optimize – Cache, Clean, Compress not being compatible with the new version

    and so i went back to 7.4 for now

    Sorry for the delay. You may use the Cloudinary plugin to deliver content via FREE CDN. When all images/assets will be deliver via CDN, your hosting will perform much better.
