Slow Search

  • Hello Team,

    I have the feeling that my search on my site https://www.itmedialaw.com is pretty slow. At least it feels the way that the live search needs at least 3-5 second to give a result. Nowadays I think this is too slow.

    Is there any way to speed this up? I usually do support plugin developer also with paid versions, but can you give me an honest answer if the Pro-Version will make any difference with the speed?

    Hi,

    While the search performance depends on the server performance in most cases, there are a few things you can do to improve it:

    – Turning on the custom ajax handler, it bypasses some plugin loading times: https://i.imgur.com/kLvZQP7.png
    – Turning off some of the fields to search, and only enabling the titles: https://i.imgur.com/ZkPwPod.png
    Then testing again, and then enabling some of the fields one by one, to see if it makes any difference.
