I‘ve looked for a plugin like this and tried every other plugin for filtering woocommerce pruducts by custom category and tags. It works great and i would like to use it for our shop, but for some reason the selection of filter checkboxes lacks. It takes about three to four seconds until the filter selection is done and i have to wait before i can select another filter. So if a user wants to select multiple filters it could take a while.

Any ideas how to fix this? The ajax option is disabled, my wlan connection is stable and other plugins with checkboxes don‘t have this problem.

    Best regards
    Gunter

    Hi @gunt3r

Thank you for your interest in the Filter Everything plugin.

It is just updating filter terms in all of the filters to show their status and counter and update the URL. With future updates, we want to add the ability to turn off this update. At the time there is no ability to change it.

    Hi,

thanks for the quick response. I really hope you can fix this, because right now the delay isn‘t very user friendly and could be annoying. There must be an option to select the filters and to update them after clicking the submit button.

I‘m going to keep the plugin installed until we launch our shop in december. If you can fix this the plugin deserves five stars compared to others, espacially for its simplicity and the flexibility.

    Best regards

    Hi @gunt3r

It’s not a fix, it’s a different kind of approach because it will be a blind choice for users without these updates, they won’t know the counters as long they didn’t hit the apply button.

Also, this type of behavior is used across all of the popular websites like Amazon, eBay, and so on. When you click the filter term, the page is refreshed with the items and you can choose a new filter after it.

Ah, i understand. So it depends on the speed of the page load and could get faster with better server performance, cdn and so on, right? Right now we are using shared hosting but with the best performance plan available.

    Hi @gunt3r

Abolutely, we don’t know how fast or slow it is working on your back but in general, speed should be something like on this site – https://chaneysjewelry.com/shop/
